Bedford Fours & Small Boats Head

Weather conditions for the Bedford Fours and Boats Head, on Sunday 12th April 2015, were variable, becoming increasingly blustery as the day went on. While the 2km course was sheltered from the worst of the 20mph winds, the 40mph gusts certainly made things tricky at times! Cantabs were represented by some Masters Men and women’s Dev Squad, with a number of the Hills Road boys.

Andrew Morley won Masters C/D Novice 1x and David Richardson was second in Masters D/E 1x. The Cantabs Masters 4X came 3rd out of 5 entries in Masters B/C/D Quads, despite having caught a “proper” crab in the rough water. The Dev Squad were 2nd and 4th in Womens Novice Coxed Fours and 7th in the Womens Novice Double Sculls.

The Hills Road boys finished 1st, 2nd and 6th in Novice 4+ and 5th and 13th in Intermediate 3 Coxed Fours. Their quad was 3rd in Intermediate 3 Quad Sculls, and 9th= overall.

Well done to all who took part, and congratulations to the winners!
