Men’s Head of the River Race

The 2015 Men’s Head of the River Race was looking as though it might face cancellation due to poor weather for the third year in a row, but fortunately went ahead, albeit with a modified start time. Conditions were very tricky with a strong tail and cross tail wind for most of the course. Both Cantabs crews faced up to the conditions and raced well to produce record-matching/breaking results:

M1 HorrCantabrigian I finished in 62nd place overall, ahead of all the other Cambridge town and college crews. The finish position matched their previous best ever result, despite the crew having had less preparation that in previous years.

M2 HORR

Cantabrigian II finished 229th, beating the previous best 2nd crew result (234th), despite racing in essentially a scratch crew. Thanks to the three Hill’s Road lads and to Robert for joining the fun with such short notice!
