Men’s Squads

Cantabs run a number of men’s squads encompassing everything from social rowers to athletes targeting major regatta wins. There are a number of training groups operating at any time, with flexibility available in each so there is always something to cover everyone. The Intermediate and Senior squads are always looking to take in and develop more athletes.

Intermediate Men

Feeding into our Senior Squad, is our Intermediate Squad. The Intermediates complete between 4 and 6 sessions per week including ergs and weights as well as water sessions.

Casual rowing

There are also numerous squads for oarsmen who take a more relaxed approach to training which compete at local and national races. These can be joined by anyone with experience of rowing, of any age.

The club also has a Masters Men’s Performance Squad, which continues to gather momentum and expand. They enter local and national races, including Veterans’ Head of the River and the British Rowing Masters Championships.
