World Masters Regatta 2022

A small Cantabs entry competed at the 2022 World Masters Regatta in Libourne, France, with some good results.

Laura D'Urso and her father finished 2nd in the Mixed MasD 2x, with the Aquaphobes racing in two crews. They finished with the 11th fastest of 20 times posted in the MasD8+ and 26th of 29 in the MasD4+, despite being a MasE crew.

It was the first time that the Aquaphobes - one of Cantabs masters men's squads - had competed at World Masters.

Some of the crews at World Masters feature former Olympians and national level oarsmen. For us to go up against them, row our own race, and put in a PB is a really good result.

The next major race for Cantabs masters crews will be the Veteran Fours Head of the River Race in November.
