There were 6 wins at Nottingham for the Senior Women on 21st and 22nd May 2022 as they prepared for Henley Women’s Regatta.
There were wins in 3 single sculls events, with ChiYing Chen replicating her Scullers Head win by finishing 1st in the Women’s Masters B 1x, as well as the Women’s Band 2 1x. Paula Darwin did her first race since recovering from long covid, winning the Women’s Band 4 1x.
More wins came in the Women’s MasDE2-, as well as the Women’s 2x with Gemma Douglas and Evelyn Svingen going on to finish a close 2nd in the masters event. There were also 2nd place finishes in the Women’s MasCDE4- and Women’s Band 1 4-. Continuing their run of success after their Wallingford Regatta win, the Women’s Band 1 4+ enjoyed a comfortable victory.
The Women’s Band 1 8+, racing for the first time after several weeks of focus on smaller boats, had a close 2nd place finish in their event.
