On Sunday 30th October, Ellie and Millie went to Barnes Bridge Ladies Rowing Club in London to receive their pots for winning the women’s IM1 pairs at Pairs Head two weeks ago. They were also the 2nd fastest W2- overall.
A total of 9 Cantabs crews raced at Pairs Head, with all of the Senior Women’s Squad crews and a Senior Men’s Squad crew finishing as the fastest non-Tideway-based crews in their events (W.IM2.2-, W.IM3.LWT.2x, W.MasBCD.2-, IM1.2-).
Prizes were presented by Alan Sinclair (left) who was in the M2- at Rio, and Jack Beaumont (right) who was in the M4x.
The Senior Women’s Squad, Senior Men’s Squad and Junior Girls’ Performance Squad are now working towards the next set of Tideway heads, with entries in the Fours Head of the River (W.IM1.4x, IM1.4x, IM1.4+, W.J.4x) and Veteran Fours Head of the River (W.IM3.4+, W.MasA.4x, W.MasC.4+) on 12th and 13th November.
