Seasonal fun at Xmas Head

There was a great turnout from Cantabs at the Cambridge Xmas Head on Saturday 10th December, with 21 official Cantabrigian crews and several composite crews with strong Cantabs representation.  Many junior crews took the opportunity to get racing experience in a festive event where the elaborateness of the fancy dress attracted as much comment as the rowing capabilities of the participants.  The 16-reindeer-powered Santa’s Sledge from Downing/Sharks was perhaps the most unusual boat on the river on this entertaining and enjoyable day.  Congratulations to the girls of the Hills Road Junior18 quad crew who won the prize for Best Fancy Dress for rowing as SuperMario characters!

Selected photos, and links to plenty more, are available on the Cantabs Facebook page.
