One of the many unfortunate things about the pandemic is that we have been unable to celebrate Andy’s life following his untimely death last year. Over the decades he did a vast amount for those of us who passed through the Cantabs Senior Men’s Squad and I feel that it is only right and proper that we arrange an appropriate event in recognition of all he did. Andy being Andy, this could only take one form. Alas, at the last Bumps Robs were 4th in the charts and so we won’t be able to knock them off head station at any point in the foreseeable future.
Instead, let’s do the next best thing – meet up in Cambridge, go for a little row and then raise a pint of Mongoose in his honour at the finest Curry House that will take us.
To fit around the rowing calendar we’re aiming to organise this event for April 2022. Eights Head takes place at the end of March, Wallingford Regatta at the start of May. If you wish to attend, please fill in the sign up form located here and I will contact you with further details closer to the time.
