Cantabs was one of the top performing state school clubs at Schools Head of the River.
5 crews raced at the recent Schools Head, both from the Cantabs junior squads and the Hills Road squad, with it being the first time on the Tideway for most.
The crews produced some fantastic results, in competitive fields mostly dominated by entries from private schools. The Girls’ 1st 8+ was the fastest state school crew in their event, and the Boys’ 1st 8+ was the 2nd fastest state school crew in their event.
Results included:
- 10th Girls’ School 1st 8+
- 12th School 1st 8+
- 13th Girls’ School 2nd 8+
- 14th Girls’ School 1st 8+
- 18th School 2nd 8+
