Whilst much of the rest of Cantabs were thrashing down the reach in Leg 1 of the Winter League, Cécile Auty-Jacklin and David Richardson made the trip to Northampton to attempt a treble at the Head of the Nene. There was a big turn out, with 134 crews racing over 4 divisions, and conditions were chilly, as in Cambridge, although luckily not too windy on the relatively straight 1800m course.
Cécile and David managed to win both Open (Mens) and Mixed MasE 2x – a rare combination – and then in her third race of the day, Cécile completed the hat-trick by winning WMasD/E/F 1x by 8 seconds. All in all, a good days work!
